Services:
$20 FFL
Transfer
It is a violation of Federal law to ship a firearm to a person from
another state unless that person is in possession of a lawfully-issued
Federal Firearms License (FFL).
I proudly offer the use of my license for the purchase of out-of-state
firearms. Here's how it works:
You find a seller in another state. This can be from an online store,
an auction site, friends in another state, etc. You agree to buy the
firearm from them.
You pay them and send me an e-mail; this email must contain the name,
address, and (at least) a fax number for the seller. I fax a copy of my
FFL to the seller, who should keep it on file.
The firearm is shipped to me, and upon arrival I begin the paperwork
and required background check so we can transfer the item to you.
Because of the required paperwork, you'll need to provide me with your
name, address, phone number, and a copy of your Illinois FOID card.
The waiting period begins the moment I submit your background check
request. In Illinois, the waiting period for a long gun (rifle or
shotgun) is 24 hours; the waiting period for a handgun is 48 hours.
My fee for this service is $20. You should understand that I am not the
seller of the firearm, and will not accept a return, extend any kind of
warranty, or even promise that your merchandise is in usable condition.
I just do the paperwork, and make sure we're all legal.
